The Park Cafe'

Kelsey pointed this one out for me.  It's a little cafe next to liberty park between 6th and 7th east on 13th south.  Kelsey had seen it a while ago and thought it looked good.  I was expecting a "greasy-spoon get extra napkins so you can soak up the extra grease" types of restaurants.  Upon walking in, I first noticed that it was in deed small.  I also noticed that it was clean and that the people there were not what I expected.  We found a table really fast and right away were waited on.  Kelsey and I both ordered french toast.  I also had hashed-browns and bacon.  I'm a bacon snob and I have to say that this is one of the best places for bacon.  I'm actually craving it right now as I speak.

The atmosphere is great.  The food is great.  The price is about $1.50 more than what you would pay at dennys or something similar but it was worth it.

Food For Thought - O' Falafel etc.

So Kelsey 'invited' me to post more on my blog & suggested that I post about the different restaurants that we go to since food is one of my few passions that's worth writing about. Last night's endevor was litteraly Kelsey and I driving down the street saying "that looks good, let's eat there." After driving around sugarhouse for 30 minutes we stumbled upon O’Falafel; a mediterranian restaurant that has me craving more even as I write. We weren't sure what to expect, even after walking in & looking around. The menu was definately authentic, as I couldn't pronounce half of the stuff on there. Luckily, they had numbers next to everything so that you could ask for a number 29 instead of a kofteh and mujadareh. I was thinking this was an ok place until I had the mango ice cream. Now I think it's in my top ten. The atmosphere is lacking a bit but it's not a chain restaurant, so I'll cut them some slack on that. The great taste makes up for that. Everything tastes better in a pita, right?

It's been a while...

If my math is correct, its been... a long time since I've even acknowledged a presence of a jonablog. I'm not one to give a travelog of what's gone on lately, so I'll refer you to my wife's page for that. I'll just say that my life is completely different from what it was two months ago. All for the better.

Testing, testing, hello, hello...

I'm just putting this all together so I just thought that I would post something to make sure that it's all working.
